In an effort to keep our clients (and those affected by this disease) connected, updated, and supported, the Damien Center offers a host of enrichment groups:

Support Groups Currently Offered

Monday Night Group
The Monday night group is open to all individuals living with HIV/AIDS. This group meets every Monday from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Damien Center. The goal of this group is to create an environment for members to receive support, gather with those whom may be having a shared experience, and foster a sense of community. Wednesday Night Group
The Wednesday night support group is open to all gay men living with HIV/AIDS. This group meets every Wednesday night from 6pm-7:30pm at the Damien Center and the purpose of the group is to offer social support to gay men living with the disease. Positive Attitudes Class
The Positive Attitudes Class attempts to help clients who have problems with anger, especially in any relationship. The scheduled time is on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm at the Damien Center. Please contact Jason Cochran at jcochran@damien.org or call  632.0123 ext. 274 to enroll.

Road to Recovery
The Thrive Group is designed for clients who want to begin or continue in substance abuse recovery. This group meets on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Damien Center. Please contact Jason Cochran at jcochran@damien.org or call  632.0123 ext. 274 to enroll.

Shining Light on the Path
This newly diagnosed group has been designed for individuals who have been diagnosed within the past year or who are entering Damien Center services for the first time. The goal of this six week course is to gain greater knowledge about HIV/AIDS and to be party to a supportive environment from others that may be experiencing similar circumstances at this point in their journey. Group is offered periodically at the Damien Center, so please contact Abbe Sechrist at asechrist@damien.org or call 632.0123 ext. 275.

Walking the Path Together
This group is open to all previous participants of the Shining Light on the Path Group. Walking the Path Together is a process group for those wishing to gain further support and a sense of community with others living with HIV. Group meets each First and Third Thursday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Damien Center. To enroll, please contact Abbe Sechrist at asechrist@damien.org or call 632.0123 ext. 275.
