Adam Burtner
Adam Burtner is Senior Government Relations Director at Elevance Health, where he leads the company’s state and local government relations in Indiana across all lines of business. Leveraging his advocacy and policy expertise, Adam works to position Elevance Health as the leader in integrated care to all levels of government and elevates the organization’s mission of improving the health of humanity to communities throughout Indiana. Prior to joining Elevance Health, Adam was Vice President of Government Affairs at the Indy Chamber where he led the business group’s policy development and external affairs. Prior to the Indy Chamber, he served as Executive Director of HATCH for Hunger, and previously held roles with the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office, Hathaway Strategies, and Stanton Chase.
Adam currently serves on the boards of the IndyGo Foundation, Indianapolis Zoo Council, Newfields, Insurance Institute of Indiana, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC), Indy Chamber Health Policy Council and Political Action Committee, Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute, The PATH School, Wabash College Alumni Association, Penrod Society, and Sapphire Theatre Company.
Adam earned a degree in Rhetoric and Political Science from Wabash College and currently lives on the Westside of Downtown Indianapolis with his rescue pup Piper.
