Juan Carlos Venis
Dr. Venis is a board-certified family physician with a dedication to education and a broad scope of evidence-based practice for diverse populations. Trained in public health, Dr. Venis is passionate about social justice and reducing health disparities. He has clinical interests in reproductive and sexual health as well as care of LGBTQ+ patients and those impacted by HIV. Upon completing his training in 2017, Dr. Venis joined the faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he spends the bulk of his time seeing patients in both a traditional FQHC and in an innovative gender-affirming clinical program. He has been instrumental to educating peers and students on care of the LGBTQ+ population and strives to implement new strategies to improve clinical training in the care of these patients.
