Pronoun:
He/Him

Marco received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Texas. Upon moving from Texas in the 2000s, Marco began working with pediatrics and the older generation, specializing in care to severe to profound neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries. From there, Marco worked as the Director of Rehabilitation services for multiple long-term care facilities, before transitioning to an Executive Director role at a short-term rehabilitation center. It was here that Marco’s interest in the Damien Center’s mission and vision started to build.

After joining the Damien Center team in 2020, Marco went from a Care Coordinator to the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. In this role, Marco provided vital support to the client-facing staff, administrative staff, and the Board of Directors. Marco most recently transitioned to the Director of Human Resources and Operations for the center, bringing over a decade experience in management. Marco has a clear vision for the betterment of the organization, emphasizing the strategic planning between administrative staff and front line workers, all while placing a heavy emphasis on the center being a diverse, equitable, and inclusive place for staff, clients, and volunteers.

When he’s not in the office, Marco is the proud “papi” to three beautiful children and two fur babies. He loves to travel with his family, go boating, play outdoor sports, swim, and go dancing.
