Maxine has been a passionate advocate for ending homelessness and HIV in Central Indiana and abroad. During her time at Ball State University, she volunteered at A Better Way women's shelter in Muncie where she tutored children and provided services to clients. Soon after, Maxine interned at Saving Orphans through Healthcare and Outreach helping coordinate HIV prevention programs for the country of eSwatini (formally known as Swaziland), Africa. Equipped with a certification and experience as a health coach, Maxine is excited to bring her unique expertise to the Housing and Services team at The Damien Center.
In her spare time, Maxine enjoys taking pictures, road tripping, and experimenting in the kitchen.
