Routes and SAG

All routes begin at Buck Creek Players and travel through relatively flat, rural roads with little traffic. Because riders will be on public roads, we strongly recommend front and rear lights for rider safety. All route distances are subject to slight changes based on road construction. Official routes will be published and available for download through RidewithGPS closer to the event. The SAG (Support and Gear) will be equipped with ample snacks, water, and powdered Gatorade. There will also be restrooms or portalets available. Volunteers will be at SAG to help with any questions.

One Home Ride – Short (25 miles)

This down and back route follows Sugar Creek to Boggstown. It’s a scenic ride on relatively flat and lightly traveled roads. There will be a SAG in Boggstown where you can refuel before riding back. Riders should be able to follow Dan Henry road markings or have the ability to download the route to a bike computer.

One Home Ride – Medium (39 miles)

This route finds the most remote roads in Shelby County and follows Brandywine Creek south through Fairland and into Boggstown for the SAG. You will then follow Sugar Creek north through London, and back to the start. Don’t let the distance scare you. This route is a flat, easy cruise, but riders should still be able to follow Dan Henry road markings or have the ability to download the route to a bike computer.

One Home Ride – Long (64 miles)

This is the kind of route that will give you a PR for a metric century. Like the Medium route, it follows Brandywine Creek south through Fairland, and into Boggstown for the first SAG. You then continue south to pick up Brandywine Creek again as it joins the Big Blue River, cut through Bengal to follow Sugar Creek back to Boggstown for the second SAG. Then just 12 more miles, through London, and back to the start. This route will be well marked but also published for self-navigation.

One Home Ride – Virtual

You can register for the: Virtual Ride Receive swag with no day-of obligations - consider picking your mileage and using a stationary bike).
