Family Support Services offers access resources, workshops, trainings, and events that empower, support, and strengthen individuals and families.
Family Support Services (FSS)
Family Support Services is a program equipped to connect you to resources via referrals to partner and community organizations.
Our program provides referral services in childcare, early childhood-school-aged education and development, education, employment, financial stability, health, and wellness opportunities.
Get referred to Family Support Specialist (FSS) by Care Team or complete online referral form. FSS will follow up via email or phone to schedule in-person meetings. Individual and FSS will collaborate to complete the Family Empower Plan and identify support services.
We will also offer youth-focused events that increase positive development.
Family Nights events will be provided to foster and strengthen a healthy family system.

Child Care Answers, Teachers Credit Union, Ivy Tech, Wayne Township, Freetown Village, Inc, Indiana Legal Services, IMPD Emergency Management Bureau, Snapology, and so much more!

We utilize the 2 Gen Approach, a holistic, family-centered approach that wraps the whole family in supportive services that provide a variety of pathways for promoting positive outcomes. Meaning we meet the clients where they want to be meet.

- Referrals (Child Care, Employment, Housing, etc.)
- Life Skills Workshops (Education, Professional, Health, etc.)
- Family Nights

- Get referred to Family Support Specialist (FSS) by Care Team or complete online referral form (clickable link to one on Damien Center website). FSS will follow up via email or phone to schedule in person meeting.
- Have first meeting to complete Family Empowerment Plan to discuss goals.
- FSS will follow up with identified supportive services. FSS and client will collaborate to complete required inquires and documentation.
- FSS will continue to support client as needed.

Select opportunities may require small contributions. They will be listed on all marketing and registration materials. Refund only provided within 24 hours’ notice.

Select opportunities may provide transportation. When completing registration make sure to list transportation needs.

Snacks and refreshments maybe offered at select opportunities. Please refer to marketing and registration materials for more information.

Participants will gain information that assist in empowering everyday life. You will also gain memories that help to strengthen the family unit.

Early Childhood- School Aged Education and Development - Providing services through childcare partnerships with one-on-one parental support, parent education, preschool-kindergarten readiness, and more!
Postsecondary Education and Employment Pathways - Access to quality education and clear career pathways through community college, training and certifications, and workforce partnerships.
Economic Assets - Gain tools to increase economic stability through financial literacy, housing, transportation, and other public supports.
Health and Well-Being - Improve healthy habits through coverage and access to care, mental, physical, and behavioral health improvement opportunities.
