Mr. Jarman is a partner in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Mr. Jarman represents and counsel’s individuals and corporations on patent and trademark matters and domestic and foreign patent protection and has experience with International (PCT), European, and Chinese patent preparation and prosecution. He coordinates patent protection strategies worldwide with an emphasis in protecting products designed and made in China and sold in the United States.His technical focus is on mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, and polymer materials. Mr. Jarman received a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a co-operative education certificate in 2005 from Purdue University School of Mechanical Engineering and his J.D. magna cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana, as well as the U.S. District Courts of Indiana and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In their spare time, he and his husband enjoy taking care of their home, gardening, Corvettes, and cruise vacations.
