Client Enrichment Programs partner with community organizations to offer life skills classes to empower individuals. From nutrition to employment to budgeting - we cover important life skills in each session.

Client Enrichment Program

Our Client Enrichment Program classes are a series of free classes designed to teach essential life skills and include a wide range of topics from goal setting and legal rights to housing resources and nutrition. These classes are free and available to all clients of Damien Center and other local-area ASOs, however, clients receiving housing support are required to attend.

Slow Flow Yoga

Join us for a 60 minute guided flow with Lukas Felix Schooler from The Hot Room. Whether you are new to yoga, have limited mobility, or are a more seasoned practitioner, each class will be uniquely designed to offer plenty variations for you to move your body with your breath in a safe environment.

Question Persuade Refer

These three simple steps can help save a life from suicide. This training will provide practical and proven suicide prevention methods anyone can use. QPR is not a form of counseling or therapy, rather it is intended to offer hope through positive action. Come learn the warning signs of someone contemplating suicide and the ways that you can help save their life.

Maintaining and Rebuilding Credit

Credit can help you secure a loan, buy a car and more. Get credit management tips and learn how credit affects your financial identity. Understand your credit score, credit report, and how to improve it. There will also be open space for questions

First Aid/CPR/AED

This course equips you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.

In Our Own Voice

This educational session is led by presenters with mental health conditions who will share their personal stories about what it is like living with their conditions, what has helped them, and how they are working towards their life goals.

This program is an opportunity for those who have struggled with mental health to gain confidence and share their individual experiences of recovery and transformation

Employment Discriminations and LGBTQ+ Rights

Building a Future hosts Indiana Legal Services to talk about employment discrimination within the workplace (with a focus on LGTBQ+). The presentation goes over what laws there are statewide as well as nationwide and includes a portion on how to advocate for yourself by seeking legal assistance. There is also a section on COVID-19 and laws that have been put in place since the beginning of the pandemic.
