Dexter has worked in the realm of HIV and STD treatment and prevention since the beginning of his professional career in 2013. He started his career at The Damien Center and worked in linkage to care, PrEP navigation, HIV testing, and risk-reduction counseling. He then went on to work at The Indiana Department of Health in the HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis Division where he led statewide quality improvement and health equity efforts. Dexter holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University.

Dexter is a resident of a historical Indianapolis neighborhood and is proud to call Indianapolis home. In his free time, you can catch him woodworking, home renovating, trying new restaurants, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
