Garry Elder
Garry currently serves as Vice President of Industrial Electric, Inc, where his team of eight project managers and 120 electricians/technicians provide maintenance and project construction to the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, he is responsible for the overall quality, safety, cost control, and schedule adverance for the projects delivered by his group as well as for maintaining customer relations within a competitive market. Garry brings to The Damien Center Board of Directors an understanding of budget maintenance and the need to deliver service while containing costs. Garry is also responsible for recruiting top talent for his organization and setting clear objectives for his team members, skills that he also brings to his board interactions. A graduate of Indiana State University, Garry serves on the Governance Committee of the Center's Board of Directors.
As a Board Member, Garry believes strongly in the mission of The Damien Center, to empower people in Central Indiana affected by HIV/AIDS to move forward each day with dignity and to lead the fight to prevent the spread of HIV. He believes that The Damien Center's one-stop-shop approach for those living with HIV allows our clients to live more fully and be productive members of our community. Garry personally had friends who were early clients of the Center and values this opportunity to give to the organization that allowed his own friends to live with dignity.
