Greg completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Cincinnati and a Master in Zoology with a subdiscipline in Ecology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He began his professional career as an Environmental Scientist for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management where he worked or 8 years before deciding to make a career.

Greg obtained his MSW from Indiana University School of Social Work in 1999 and completed internships at Wishard Hospital in both the Infectious Disease Clinic and Senior Care Program and Family Therapy at the Damien Center. After graduating, the Damien Center hired him as a Care Coordinator, later becoming the Center’s first Mental Health Counselor.

Greg went to work for Adult and Child Mental Health Clinic in their dialectical behavior therapy program where he obtained specialized training in the treatment of borderline personality disorder and has continued in that work to some degree in every position he has held since then.

He then went to work for BehaviorCorp where he worked in both Serious Mental Illness program treating Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. Greg too a break from therapy going to work for ASPIN, Inc where he managed a HRSA grant training medical in mental health providers in helping those with serious mental illness and intellectual and development disorders manage their risks of developing diabetes where he received specialized training in Integrated Behavioral Health from HRSA and a Certificate in Diabetes Management from Southern Indiana University School of Nursing and Allied Professions.

Greg returned to patient care at Community Health Network where he worked in both their Community Mental Health Center in which he assisted in developing their Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program and work in their Integrated Behavioral Health Program in their Washington Street Family Medicine Clinic. Greg has come full circle returning to the Damien Center in 2023 as a a psychotherapist.
