Nick Brown

Nick is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has been providing individual counseling at Damien Center since 2013. Nick is currently Damien’s only 100% virtual therapist which allows him the flexibility to see clients from all over the state of Indiana as well as clients in central Indiana with barriers to accessing services in-person, or who simply prefer working virtually for a variety of reasons.

Nick has worked extensively with clients coping with a new diagnosis, childhood abuse, spiritual trauma, minority stress, anxiety, and depression.

Prior to working at Damien Center, Nick spent 4 works working in youth residential settings in Denver Colorado. Nick’s education at Denver Seminary make him especially equipped to support LGBTQ+ folks’ with a history of spiritual and childhood trauma.

Nick did not have plans to return to Indiana until learning about Damien Center. He chose to relocate back to his home state to serve a community experiencing many of the same stressors he experienced and overcame growing up in southern Indiana.

Nick enjoys rescuing black cats and clearance plants, volunteering in the community, traveling and supporting local business.
