Thiwasha Lee Harper
Thiwasha L. Harper works in Clinical Development Strategy in the Immunology Design Hub group. Ms. Harper independently leads and supports teams to enable global registration strategies for Lilly’s expanding Immunology portfolio using her expertise in the application and integration of standard project management processes and tools. Thiwasha joined Lilly in 1999 as a Plant Engineer in the Manufacturing organization. Over the past two decades at Lilly, she has held roles across Manufacturing, ELANCO, Six Sigma, Project Management, Emerging Markets (now IBU) and Clinical Development. Thiwasha is former member of the Black Employees (BE) Lead team where she led the development of Senior Leadership Dialogues.
Thiwasha is the Treasurer of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Circle City Chapter; Diamond Life and National Committee member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Women’s Fund Advisory Board Member; Minority Engineering Programs of Indianapolis (MEPI) facilitator; children’s church teacher at Eastern Star Church; Washington Township Parent Council member and former United Way Diversity Leadership (DLC) Steering Committee member. Ms. Harper is also a regular speaker on Purdue’s Women in Engineering Alumni panel.
Ms. Harper received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Purdue University and has professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Critical Chain Project Management. Ms. Harper worked at Kraft Foods and Post Cereal before joining Eli Lilly and Company. Ms. Harper is the proud mother of a 5th grader, Journee Elise. Ms. Harper loves to travel, read, run and workout at Zumba or Hip-Hop class. Thiwasha believes that each person has a responsibility for sharing their time, talents, and treasures with our community and when you are intentional about how and where you give these three aspects of life you are a better person, and you make your community better.
