Client Appreciation Picnic Update
In the interest of community health, Damien Center has decided to cancel the Client Appreciation Picnic as the Delta Variant cases continue to rise. There will still be boxed lunches available in the Damien Center parking lot starting at 1:00 – 2:30 pm, or until supplies run out, on August 25th.
COVID-19 Update
Protocols and Vaccine Information
Damien Center has reinstated COVID protocols due to the rise of the Delta Variant. For anyone who is not feeling well, Damien Center requests that clients stay home to protect themselves and those around them. Additionally, all people who enter the building are required to wear masks, even if they are vaccinated. Help us help everyone stay safe and healthy during this time by following the proper protocols.
To keep the Damien Center community safe as COVID cases rise, we have decided to cancel the Client Appreciation Picnic. Lunch boxes will still be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Damien Center parking lot from 1:00 - 2:30 pm.
COVID Impact Resources
As the pandemic continues and numbers continue to rise, Damien Center is here to help clients who are living with HIV or are engaged in prevention services. The Community Impact department has emergency funding available for transportation, food, and housing assistance. Clients in need of any of these services can reach out to their care team for further assistance and information.

Extra Food Resources
Damien Center has new options for clients in need of supplementary food resources outside of their normal Food Pantry pickup. For clients seeking additional food resources, they can get a cold food box and a produce box in the lobby of Damien Center on Tuesdays starting at 11:00 am. Clients who need these resources must contact their Care Coordinator or Medical Case Manager to sign them up for food boxes by the end of the day on Fridays to receive food boxes on Tuesdays. Any questions or concerns can be addressed by e-mailing David Green ([email protected]).
Damien Center has partnered with the Partnership for Healthier America (PHA) and will be providing produce boxes for clients in need every Friday through the end of October. The boxes will be available for clients to pick up in the lobby starting at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Clients do not need to sign up for the fresh produce box program, but they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Any questions or concerns can be addressed by e-mailing Tyne Parlett ([email protected]).
Community Thursday
Community Thursdays are the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the Damien Center Board room. Community Thursdays will provide a variety of resources from Damien Center and community partners. Community Thursdays are open to all members of the community to attend.
