Keep up-to-date on the evolving COVID-19 situation
January 20, 2021
This is why we're here.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for the Damien Center’s services has increased and will continue to do so afterward. Our clients and patients are among the most likely people in our community to experience negative fallout. Many have medical risk factors, and many—often at the same time—face economic insecurity. An increasing number, through no fault of their own, will find themselves without the ability to pay for rent or food or medicine.
Our team will continue to assess and review the situation each week. Restrictions may be added or loosened depending on the current situation.
Due to increasing COVID-19 cases, the Damien Center will be operating with reduced hours.
Mon 9a - 4p
Tues 9a - 4p
Wed 9:30a - 5p
Thurs 9a - 4p
Fri 9a - 2p
We will be limiting the number of individuals allowed inside all common areas, including the Main Lobby, Clinic Lobby, and Testing Lobby. If you have questions or are unsure about what to do, please reach out directly to your Care Coordinator or give us a call at 317 632 0123.
Clients may only be in the building 15 minutes before appointments and are asked to depart at the conclusion of the appointment. No client phone services will be available at this time. We ask that only clients enter the building, although children are permitted.
Volunteers will be limited, but we have updated our volunteer guidelines! As COVID-19 vaccines are becoming available to the public, Damien Center is easing some of the restrictions put in place for volunteers. We will now allow volunteers over the age of 65 to return and encourage those age 70+ to get the vaccine, if able.
We still ask that those with underlying health conditions that may put them at increased risk of severe illness from the COVID-19 virus refrain from volunteering for the time being. Please contact Tessa Barnard with any additional questions.
Please note: We do not test for COVID-19! If you have symptoms of COVID-19, have had close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, or have been asked by your healthcare provider to get tested, please do not come into the building and instead consult your healthcare provider.
Due to increasing cases of COVID-19, the Damien Center Testing Center strongly prefers appointments be made for testing. To schedule your appointment, please click here.
