Keep up-to-date on the evolving COVID-19 situation

This is why we're here.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for the Damien Center’s services has increased and will continue to do so afterward. Our clients and patients are among the most likely people in our community to experience negative fallout. Many have medical risk factors, and many—often at the same time—face economic insecurity. An increasing number, through no fault of their own, will find themselves without the ability to pay for rent or food or medicine. To support our mission, please consider making a gift here.
Effective July 29, 2021
Masks will be required for anyone entering Damien Cares, the Damien Center lobby, the Food Pantry, or any public-facing space. Masks will be provided for those who do not have one readily available.
Why you may ask when the rest of the county is opening up?
• There is a rise in cases of different strains of COVID-19.
• The immune systems of many of our patients are compromised.
• The typical flu/cold season will be upon us soon.
• We do many things to help support/protect our patients in other ways, this is just another.
Indiana has expanded COVID-19 Vaccine eligibility for individuals living with HIV. To learn more, contact your medical provider or visit the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccine Page!
Please note: We do not test for COVID-19! If you have symptoms of COVID-19, have had close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, or have been asked by your healthcare provider to get tested, please do not come into the building and instead consult your healthcare provider.
Due to increasing cases of COVID-19, the Damien Center Testing Center strongly prefers appointments be made for testing. To schedule your appointment, please click here.
Damien Center will continue to serve clients through Support Groups and Employment Services. To ensure the safety of our clients, we will limit the number of attendees to 5 people per group or workshop. Clients who attend groups or workshops will be required to wear masks while in the building.
