4-Star Rating

On the heels of the organization’s 30th anniversary, The Damien Center, Indiana’s leader in HIV/AIDS care and prevention, has received Charity Navigator’s coveted four-star rating for strong financial health and a commitment to accountability and transparency. This is the second consecutive year that Damien has received this acknowledgement. “This rating exemplifies the integrity of our governance and financial accountability.” Charity Navigator serves as the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator.

“Only 30% of the charities we evaluate have received at least 2 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that The Damien Center outperforms most other charities in America,” says Charity Navigator President and CEO Michael Thatcher in a letter dated June 1, 2018. “This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets The Damien Center apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
